    I was just wondering if anyone had any advice for using covert/conversational hypnosis. I am practiced in stage and street and even clinical hypnosis but would like some input from those who consider themselves conversational/covert hypnotists. Any input at all is greatly appreciated! Tips, How-to's, Walk-through's, etc. Thanks!

    Joshua, conversational (aka Ericksonian hypnosis) is a part of the hypnotherapy course. So maybe jump back in those books and look at Ericksonian hypnosis I am sure you will find it because it's the corner stone of permissive clinical hypnosis.

    Walk troughs and Howto's are not really found there are some example scripts. There are two books that you must have read in order to understand the structure properly.

    That Hypnotic Language it's structure and it's use: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Hypnotic-Language-Its-Structure-Use/dp/1899836357/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1258603692&sr=8-2-spell

    And also the book Structure Of Magic (not an easy read but very powerful): http://www.amazon.co.uk/Structure-Magic-About-Language-Therapy/dp/0831400447/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1258603752&sr=8-1

    The psychological approach to influence. Influence: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Influence-Psychology-Persuasion-Robert-Cialdini/dp/006124189X/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1258603841&sr=8-1

    Then finally (when you've read the previous books): http://www.amazon.co.uk/Persuasion-Skills-Black-Book-Practical/dp/190543054X/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1258603692&sr=8-3-spell

    There is a online year long course by Stephen Brooks, part of it or all of it is available for free @ WWW.British-hypnosis-research.com I can highly recommend the course.

    Also if you check out discover Dan Jones http://discoverdanjones.co.uk/default.aspx you will find large amounts of information for free. And Dan has maybe a hundred hours of great youtube instruction available.

    So have fun discovering the world of indirect hypnosis.... and maybe make a point of coming to practice on SKYPE, if you have the possibility to do so. Look me up.... I'll bring you into our groups...

    There's a lot of information on covert and conversational hypnosis, and it's an area that I personally find quite fascinating. As Ray mentioned, there is much info from psychology, and reading books on Erickson himself can be quite helpful. If you have specific questions, post them and I'll be happy (as I am certain will others) to respond. Their is a great forum on covert hypnosis at www.hypnoticmindtraining.com/forum which has a lot of very useful info. Also, let me ask you, as this is a large area, what are your specific interests and aims for learning these skills, I might be able to point you towards some more specific resources,

    Chris, the real course to go with is Black Ops Hypnosis, by Taylor Starr. That is by far the best hypnosis-related course out there on the market. The material is worth thousands yet he only sells it for $97. His website can be found here at http://undergroundhypnosis.com/ [www.undergroundhypnosis.com/]

    @Josh,

    Chris just dished out $97 for the worst piece of hypnosis training on the planet because you said so!

    Well Chris I would place a claim of $1097 on Josh $97 for the "course" and 1000 for the mental damage you suffered from this sad product :D

    Ray, I don't think Igor is all that bad. Taylor Starr is terrible, but Igor is decent, he just doesn't teach much more than the basics, really, and his marketing is certainly over the top, but the course is far better than many others.
