No will I agree I am referring to Block Ops from Taylor Star :D

Igor's course is quiet good a shame though that he's talking on those DVDs as if he is hypnotizing you. There's no vibrancy and live in them. At times I just could not stand listening and then you stop the CD and to find back were you'd left off is a problem.

But all the knowledge is packed in there! It is not really easily identifiable when you are knew to it but I guess that is the problem in the whole format. A DVD series where you would see him initially explain the bases and apply it in a certain setting(s), then add some extra to it see him apply that in several settings. Is a far better build up and learning aid. With the CD pack you actually require a knowledge of the subject and you will get so much more out of the course (I did) not the least perfect sleep.

Oh, okay Ray. You mentioned that Chris had wasted his money, and he was the one talking about using Igor's cd, so I got confused there. Igor's stuff is, as you said, good, my biggest complaint is that he is just rehashing material you can learn by studying the old B and G books, and by reading about Ericksonian techniques.

Haha sorry Will, I had to, I was having a good laugh there Chris, do NOT buy that trash. When I said it was worth thousands, I meant it was worth one thousandth.. one thousandth of a $1 if you ask me...

Igor's course is definitely probably the best out there on the mainstream market. HOWEVER.. as Ray has said it's boring as.. it's just got no kick to it and you force yourself to listen to the CDs and you just zone out and end up blocking out everything he's saying. It's just so boring. But he does have some VERY good and very useful information on there. The thing I hate most, however, is all the marketing. They are just downright lies, there's really no need to propagate lies in order to sell a product. But then again, they say that advertising is just legalised lying. So damn true. And disappointing.

in the beginning you way find it boring but the good and exciting stuff comes in that other half of the course because in the beginning he is teaching the basics so you can master the techniques.
let's not forget about the transcript so you can read while listening and just reading whithout listening, and when you get bored, just memorise the page that you got to.
i agree that the sale letter was sort of lying, but i wasn't disappointed because i knew alredy what the course included.

what about 'The Art of Covert Hypnosis by Steven Peliari'?

I just purchased it and read about 60 pages. It seems to cover the right stuff because I read quite a bit of Igor's product before getting too bored myself and kinda got put off. Also Steven's product covers more than just conversational hypnosis and links mentalism, NLP and hypnosis together as he reckons that they are the three fundamentals of covert hypnosis.

    What do you guys think?

Mentalism?!?! This guy thinks that hot and cold-reading is mentalism, which it is not.
Mentalism can be performed without any solid understanding of hypnosis or psychology.

I would add as well that mentalism, while it can be useful in terms of ccvert or conversational hypnosis, is far from essential to that art. Now, this is not to say anything against including mentalism in one's toolkit, I certainly use mentalism in this way and it is quite useful. By the same token, it's not a tool of the conversation hypnosis itself, but something which is additional to and synergeticw with the actual hypnoss irself.

Now, I don't know Mr. Peliari's course and so can't comment on it, but I can say, as one who is a long-time student of these skills in particulat, that I find great flaw in labeling mentalism as a component of conversational hypnosis. It suggests a misunderstanding of the hypnotic elements themselves. Additionally, I would point out that much of the NLP which is utilized within hypnotic sessions is based on or directly from the hypnotic work of Milton Erickson, who is the great master of converational techniques. Bandler and Grinder wrote two volumes directly studying Erickson's actual techniques. NLP is, at it's core, the meta-model and the Milton model, which is defined as the inverse or the meta-model. So, to label techniques as NLP is often a result of misplacing the source. All this tends to make me skeptical of the course, though it may have useful information. These types of misunderstndings, though, can limit thinkng as you develop your own technique and skills,
